Lynne Bishop - Elder Lynne has been a member of New Barn Christian Fellowship along with her husband Paul for around 18 years. Music and playing the cello has always been a big part of life and now enjoys playing and worshipping God in the Worship Team music group. Born disabled (minus a right hand), Lynne was raised to overcome obstacles and prejudices that came across her path and, as a result, feels that God has called her to have a particular affinity with those who are vulnerable or face challenges in their lives. Working as a civil servant, Lynne is part of disability groups within the workplace to offer help and guidance to others. Lynne draws on the Bible passage John 9 v1-5 regularly as anyone, whether disabled, vulnerable or those merely going through a tough time, can have God’s works displayed in them and hopes to live her own life so that His works may be visible through her. Now a member of the Eldership Team, Lynne feels that God is using her for a new purpose and direction. |
