Raise a banner on a bare hill top.
Shout to them, beckon them to enter the gates.

Who Are We?

Who are New Barn Christian Fellowship?

We are a small friendly church, with an informal approach to worship.  We have a weekly church meeting which is held at 10.15 am each Sunday at Longfield Hill Community Hall.  During the week we hold various home group activities.

Children of any age are very welcome at our services and they usually join us for a short time at the beginning of our service and then go off to enjoy their own time together.

Our Vision

We believe that God has placed us in Longfield Hill to serve the local community and areas further afield.  Jesus instructed His disciples to reach out to as many people as they could with the Good News of His life and the peace and joy that He came to bring.

Our vision can be summarised by the following three statements:

  • to connect

A desire to reach out to people with love and good works, expressing the love of Jesus.

  • to care

To provide a safe place where all can come; to be aware of personal needs and willing to take action accordingly.

  • to commit

We are aware that people's lives can't always be satisfied instantly.  There is, therefore  a desire to walk with a person (as Jesus did) and to give others the time that is needed to listen and understand.

At New Barn Christian Fellowship, we have a core set of beliefs that we share together as a family and we hold ourselves accountable to:

God - There is one God who exists in the three persons--God the Father, God the Son our Lord Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit. He is the almighty creator who made and sustains all things, and he is our provider, redeemer and judge.

Jesus - Is the Son of God and died to take the punishment for our sin. Through this unselfish act, and His resurrection, He has provided the ONLY way to God and eternal life.

The Holy Spirit - Has been sent from heaven to glorify Jesus. He indwells all believers bringing assurance of salvation, guidance and true understanding of the Bible. He strengthens and empowers believers to become increasingly like Jesus and provides gifts to build up the church for worship, service and mission.

The Bible - Comprising the Old and New Testaments alone, is the inspired Word of God. It is the complete and supreme authority for all matters of the Christian faith and life.

The Church - Is the living body to which all who have been saved by faith in Jesus belong and of which Jesus is the head and in which every member has a vital role.

The Future - The Lord Jesus Christ will return in power and glory to rule the earth. He will raise the dead and judge the world in righteousness; believers will spend eternity in joyful fellowship with God.
